ISO 14001: Environmental Policy
ECT Ltd., recognizing the importance of environmental protection for achieving sustainable development, has developed and implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS), in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2015. The EMS covers all of the company’s activities.
Towards this direction, the company is committed to:
- Operating and acting in such a way as to protect the environment and prevent pollution.
- Complying with legislative requirements and any other requirement that the company has chosen to comply with.
- Evaluating the environmental impacts of its activities, with the aim of limiting or eliminating negative environmental impacts.
- Contributing to the more rational use of natural resources, through energy saving, reducing water consumption and the proper management of solid waste produced.
- Striving for continuous improvement of the EMS, in order to improve its environmental performance.
Based on the above commitments, the company has proceeded to:
- Defining environmental objectives, systematically monitoring their implementation and reviewing them.
- Continuously informing, training and encouraging all staff to actively participate in the EMS.
- Providing information to external bodies regarding environmental performance, in order to inform and cooperate for the wider protection of the environment.
- Systematically measuring, evaluating and monitoring its environmental performance.
- Periodically inspecting the EMS to ensure that the EMS is effectively implemented.
- Reviewing the EMS to ensure its suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.
